“THE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE OF MESSINA”
The Chamber of Commerce caters for the general interests of enterprises and has promotional, administrative and supportive competences for the activities of enterprises. It performs a role promoting the system of enterprises andtheir innovation as also intended in a strictly non-economic sense. It is strategically decisive, that the Chamber of Commerce is felt as the common house of all economic categories within the provincial territory, which, converging towards shared aims of development, amplify the authority of the Chamber’s action emerging from this context. Pursuing the care of the general interests of enterprises the Chamber performs its multiplicator role for the better development of the whole territorial economic system. The Chamber of Commerce of Messina pursues a pathway based on priority intervention hypotheses, aimed at the rationalisation and improvement both of the offered services and of concrete support to the growth of the provincial entrepreneuring fabric. These are concrete hypotheses, primarily based on functional pathways to sustain a real local economic development also through pathways of entrepreneuring formation.

The Chamber primarily aims at pursuing the following aims:

    • to assume a protagonist’s role in the territorial development process and in this perspective to pursue strategies to propel the local economy;
    • to become a general point of reference for enterprises, without in this respect being cut off from the ordinary provision of Institutional services;
    • to contribute to the competitiveness of the “enterprise system” in all those sectors requiring an intervention;
    • to further modernise one’s own Institutional system within the framework of a constant process of re-qualification of the Public Administration, specifically those simplifying and rationalising administrative action;
    • to research a more efficient integration with associational realities;
    • to research a more efficient collaboration with territorial Entities and with the system of formation for the purpose of improving and making realisable such actions as are intended to be undertaken;
    • to pursue the evaluation of territorial excellences with particular reference to the evaluation of typical farming and food products;
    • to increase the activities of economic information, research, innovation and sustainable development, the evaluation and qualification of human resources and internationalisation.
